Recipe - Strawberry Shortcake Trifle

Creating amazing things in the kitchen make for great memories with the family. Here's a recipe for one of our favorite items, Strawberry Trifle.

Strawberry Shortcake Trifle


Ingredients

  • 32 oz or 2 lbs fresh strawberries

  • 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 1.5 oz package of instant vanilla pudding

  • 3 cups milk (for pudding)

  • 8 oz tub of cool whip

  • 16 oz pound cake or white cake

Directions

  1. Cut strawberries into quarter or half pieces.

  2. Add sugar to the strawberries and toss to coat.

  3. Set aside in the fridge for up to 30 minutes, tossing occasionally.

  4. Prepare vanilla pudding as directed on package, gently folding in cool whip.

  5. Set pudding aside in refrigerator

  6. Strain syrup from strawberries and set aside

  7. Layer ingredients in bowl in this order (repeating or altering for the size of your bowl):

  8. Pound cake (or white cake)

  9. Pudding mix

  10. Strawberry mix

  11. (Optional) pour syrup over layered mixture

  12. Top bowl off with a layer of whip cream and strawberries
